There is now a large, hulking green building with yellow trim next to Cuban Pete's that was revealed early this week after the scaffolding was removed.
While I enjoy color, I'm not sold on this as being a great decision for the historical district. The building has disconnected from the built environment surrounding it. I'm sure there could have been some other options to add color the building such as adding flower boxes all the way up the building, similar to the aptly named Flower Box Building in New York City (right).
